Upon this year, the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice in Wonderland, I decided to re-read this wonderful children's story once again. The captivating illustrations simply make this book even better, and one can not help but wish to follow Alice down the rabbit hole or through the magical Looking Glass. Following Alice's adventures in both stories, we meet both the beautiful and the weird, all of which are exemplary examples of what the imagination can do. As a children's book, it is one that does not talk down to them, but instead draws them level and takes them on the journey hand in hand. For adults, the joys are equal and more. I don't recall I ever read this book when I was child, and I feel that perhaps I missed out, but that should never mean that I cannot enjoy it as I should.
